The Splash! Is a unique event for every digital lab enthusiast. It combines an educational part with a hands-on session to try out standards in action. Pick up the details on the popular SiLA and AnIML standards, understand how they work and where you can put them to use. Our hands-on session lets you experience the standards in action firsthand. We’re bringing real and cloud-based instruments and lots of example data sets. Feel free to bring an instrument or your own data.

This session is co-organised by SiLA Consortium and the AnIML Society with the kind support for ELRIG. Attendance is free of charge.

Recent years have seen a significant expansion in the classes of molecular targets we consider as viable for therapeutic intervention, such as protein-protein interactions, epigenetic targets, RNA targets, nuclear receptors and many more. Alongside this the diversity of modalities we work on has increased to include bifunctional molecules, covalent molecules of varying degrees of reversibility, allosteric modulators, molecular glues and more, in addition to our more traditional small molecule and peptide ligands. This diversity of target types, interaction types and modalities calls for an increasing need to tailor hit finding approaches, and the pool of chemistry in which we search for hits, to the specific discovery strategy in hand.

 In this workshop we will discuss recent developments in hit finding approaches that support this tailored approach, including discussion on diverse hit finding techniques, such as fragment screening, ASMS, DNA-encoded library screening and more, as well as the use of these platforms to mine for molecules with affinity, molecules with function, covalent molecules, allosteric binders and peptides. We will discuss protein targets as well as approaches for identifying ligands for RNA.
